MRTY Website Privacy Policy

Effective date 30 October 2026

1Who we are and scope

This policy explains how ALWAYS ON LIMITED, trading as MRTY (NZBN 9429049927702), collects, uses, stores and shares personal information through mrty.ai, including website signup, website access, enquiries, the website assistant and demo bookings.

Our address is Flat 12, 49 Sainsbury Road, Mount Albert, Auckland 1025, New Zealand. Contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@mrty.ai or write to that address. General enquiries can be sent to hello@mrty.ai.

This is a website policy. MRTY products and customer services have separate privacy information and agreements. This policy does not cover information processed within a customer's MRTY product installation.

Statements about where MRTY products keep customer data do not describe this website. Some website features, including voice, use providers outside New Zealand. Sections 5 and 7 explain who they are.

2Information you provide

When you sign up, enquire or request a demo, we collect the details you submit. Depending on the form or conversation, these include:

  • Your name, work email address and company name.
  • Industry, role, whether an owner or director can attend, approximate team size and operating region.
  • Your current systems, business challenges, reasons for considering MRTY, current AI tools and preferences about where your business data is held.
  • Optional estimates of annual software and IT spending or business revenue, where the form asks for them.
  • Referral information, questions and interest in a separately scoped paid fit-gap assessment.
  • Preferred meeting times, time zone, booking changes and related correspondence.
  • Conversation text, including messages you type, transcribed speech and the website assistant's replies.
  • Your contact preferences, confirmation of details and consent records.

For a demo request, your name, work email, company and permission to contact you about the enquiry are required. The other questions are optional. Without the required details, we can't arrange the demo. Optional information helps us assess fit and prepare for the conversation.

Please do not enter passwords, payment-card details, identity documents, health information or confidential customer records in the website assistant or enquiry forms. Avoid giving us unnecessary information about other people. If you give us someone else's details, you must be entitled to share them.

3Website access, technical records and analytics

We use the information needed to run and secure website access, such as the email address used for access, access status, timestamps and related correspondence. Our website systems may also process IP addresses, browser and device information, security or bot-check results, referring pages, time zone, pages visited and booking steps reached, depending on the features in use.

MRTY runs the website's email, calendar, video and analytics functions. Analytics help us understand how people use the website and where the enquiry or booking process needs improving. They are separate from product usage data.

We use cookies or similar browser storage where they are needed for website access and security. If we use optional analytics or other technologies that need your consent, we ask first and let you change your choice later. Blocking necessary storage may stop website access from working. Analytics that don't use cookies can still involve personal information, such as your IP address.

4Why we use information

We use website information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and communicate about the request you make.
  • Assess whether MRTY is a good fit, arrange demos and prepare for meetings.
  • Provide requested website access and send booking confirmations, reminders or changes.
  • Answer questions and keep an accurate record of the enquiry.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, improve and protect the website and booking process.
  • Honour privacy choices, handle complaints and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. MRTY does not use website enquiry content, including transcripts, to train AI models. Section 5 explains what our voice providers may do with the information they receive.

We may use your answers to flag or decline a booking, for example based on team size, industry, location or requirements. These booking rules are not a credit assessment or a purchase decision. If a result is wrong or you want a person to review it, contact hello@mrty.ai.

5Website assistant, voice and Fish Audio

The website assistant is an AI system, not a person. Its written replies, and the voice that speaks them, are generated automatically. If you would rather deal with a person, email hello@mrty.ai.

Voice is optional, and you can always use text instead. Before your microphone is used, we show a notice explaining how voice works and ask you to choose voice or text.

When you speak, your web browser's built-in speech service turns your speech into text. Depending on your browser and settings, this happens on your own device or on your browser provider's servers, usually Google in Chrome, Apple in Safari and Microsoft in Edge. Those servers may be outside New Zealand, and your browser provider's terms apply to that processing.

We use voice input only to turn your speech into text. We do not use it to identify you or to infer things about you, such as your emotions or age, from how you sound.

MRTY uses Fish Audio, a service of Hanabi AI, Inc., a United States company, to speak the assistant's replies aloud. Text sent to Fish Audio can include the assistant's replies and details repeated back to you, such as your name, email address, company and enquiry answers. Fish Audio turns that text into audio. It does not receive your voice. This website use is separate from MRTY's products.

Fish Audio may keep this text and use it to improve its services. Because Fish Audio is overseas, it may not be required to protect your information in a way comparable to New Zealand's Privacy Act. The voice notice tells you this before you choose voice. Fish Audio's privacy information is at fish.audio/privacy.

MRTY does not keep website voice recordings. We keep enquiry answers and conversation transcripts as described in section 8. Transcription and generated replies can contain mistakes, so please check your details and correct them before confirming your enquiry.

6Contact preferences

Submitting an enquiry authorises us to respond about that enquiry, including arranging a requested demo. It does not subscribe you to unrelated promotions.

Where we offer optional marketing updates, we get the permission the law requires, identify MRTY as the sender and give you a simple way to unsubscribe. You can also email hello@mrty.ai to change your preferences. We may still send necessary messages about an existing booking or a privacy request.

7Recipients and overseas handling

We hold website enquiry records on MRTY servers. Only authorised MRTY staff can access them, for the purposes in this policy. If a hosting or infrastructure provider stores records for us, it does so on our behalf.

Fish Audio (Hanabi AI, Inc., United States) receives the text described in section 5, and your browser's speech service may receive your spoken audio. Both may handle that information under their own terms.

Other website functions may rely on service providers, such as email delivery. We give them only what they need and use agreements that restrict how they use it. You can ask us which providers handle your information.

Information sent to an overseas recipient may be processed outside New Zealand. Where New Zealand's rules on overseas disclosure apply, we rely on a lawful basis for the disclosure, such as comparable safeguards or your informed authorisation. We remain responsible for information that providers hold on our behalf. Where EU or UK transfer rules apply, we use an adequacy decision or another valid transfer mechanism.

We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, to address serious security threats, to confidential professional advisers, or as reasonably necessary for a lawful business transfer, with appropriate safeguards and any required notice.

8Retention and deletion

We keep website enquiry records, including answers, transcripts and booking details, for 12 months after your last interaction with us about the enquiry. This applies to unfinished and declined enquiries too. We then delete or irreversibly anonymise them, unless we need to keep specific information longer to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. If you become a customer, the information needed for that relationship is handled under your customer agreement and its privacy information.

MRTY does not store voice recordings. We keep access records, security logs, analytics and email delivery logs for no longer than 12 months, unless we need them longer to investigate a specific security incident. Backups are access-restricted and overwritten in our regular backup cycle, and we do not restore deleted records from backups except to recover from an incident.

You can ask us to delete website information about you. We assess the request under the law that applies and explain anything we must keep, for example to meet a legal obligation or resolve a dispute. We may keep a minimal record of an unsubscribe request so we can respect it.

9Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect website personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse and disclosure. Access is limited to people who need the information for their role. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

If a privacy breach affecting information we hold requires notification, we notify the relevant authorities and affected people as the law requires. Please report suspected website security or privacy issues to privacy@mrty.ai.

10Information received from other people

We may receive contact information and enquiry context from someone referring you or booking a demo on your behalf. When that happens, we tell you directly, usually in the first email we send you, that we hold your details, who provided them and why. We do this unless you already know or another exception under the Privacy Act 2020 applies. That message also explains how to access or correct the information and links to this policy.

We use that information only for the relevant enquiry. A referral is not permission to send you marketing.

11Your rights and complaints

Email privacy@mrty.ai to ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, ask for deletion or raise a concern. We may reasonably verify your identity before acting.

For New Zealand access and correction requests, we give you our decision as soon as reasonably practicable and ordinarily within 20 working days, subject to lawful extensions. If we don't make a correction you ask for, you can ask us to attach a statement of the correction you sought.

Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent or review of certain automated decisions. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. We respond within the legal timeframes and explain any limits that apply.

You can complain to us about how we handle your personal information by emailing privacy@mrty.ai, or through any other channel you use to reach us. We acknowledge complaints within 30 days, look into them without undue delay and tell you the outcome.

You can also complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz, or another competent regulator, such as the Australian OAIC, the UK ICO or an EU supervisory authority. Contacting us first does not limit your right to go to a regulator.

12International visitors

MRTY is based in New Zealand and welcomes international enquiries. We comply with the privacy laws that apply to our website activities.

Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, ALWAYS ON LIMITED is the controller of the website information described here. Depending on the activity, we rely on consent for optional marketing and consent-based technologies; on steps you ask us to take before a contract, where you are the contracting individual; on our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, administering bookings and improving and protecting the website, balanced against your rights; and on legal obligations. Where voice processing needs consent, a text alternative is always available.

13Children and policy changes

Our website enquiry and booking services are for business representatives and are not directed at children. Please contact us if you believe a child has given us information that we should not hold.

We may update this policy as our website practices or legal obligations change. We publish the effective date and give appropriate notice of material changes, and we ask for new consent where required. We won't use an update to justify using information we already hold for an unrelated purpose.
